Introduction
To supervise and control all electrical maintenance activities across the mill, ensuring safe, reliable and high-quality execution of preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance while minimising breakdowns and repeat failures. To provide direct leadership to electricians to ensure compliance with statutory and plant standards.
Job description
• Provide day to day supervision and effective management of the electrical team.
• Motivate, assist, support and coach team members so that departmental targets are achieved.
• Ensure machine maintenance is done with minimal interruption to the production process.
• Ensure artisan inspections are done and checklists completed.
• Ensure breakdowns are timeously attended to and proper RCA is done to prevent re-occurrence.
• Ensure effective Shutdown planning, execution and arrangement of related shut spares and other
resources.
Minimum requirements
• Matric/Grade 12 with a pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Preferably National Diploma/N6, Electrical Engineering
• Minimum - Electrical Trade Tested.
• 8 years post-trade experience in a heavy process industry, preferable pulp and paper or similar
heavy industry.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in heavy process industry.
