Introduction
To work as part of a shift-based team, providing first line support to production, process and engineering department. Responsible for ensuring plant reliability through effective fault diagnosis, maintenance, and continuous improvement to maximise equipment availability.
Job description
• Fault-finding of instrumentation control loops, using the DCS/SCADA systems and relevant tools.
• Maintenance of instrumentation in the plant, performing schedules, section checks, reporting
defects.
• Calibration, installation, servicing and overhauling of a wide variety of industrial process instruments.
• Working closely with and providing first line response support to Production and Process Teams.
• Monitoring backlogs and open job cards.
• Closing off completed job cards.
• Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Housekeeping Environmental and Quality Standards and
Regulations, and the reporting of deviations.
• Ensuring that instrumentation, electrical installations, maintenance standards and procedures are
adhered to.
Minimum requirements
• N4 Instrumentation plus Trade Test.
• 2 years experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry or related.
• Experience in Process Control Instrumentation.
• Understanding of Process Control Loops.
• Computer Literacy.
