Introduction
To ensure the plant consistently and safely reaches its optimal overall equipment efficiency and is always at overall equipment manufacturer (OEM) specification, attain modification on equipment by operating the machine correctly, doing maintenance and coordinating Engineering requirements to achieve minimum downtime and provide a machine that is always at overall equipment manufacturer specification.
Job description
•Maintain, adjust, set up, erect, assemble, and repair production equipment.
•Locate and diagnose mechanical faults on equipment.
•Adhere to the 3 Safety Obligations and 5S.
•Maintain the equipment and ensuring that the machines operate in a clean, organized and safe environment.
•Schedule and coordinate regular preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairing of the equipment.
•Drive formal autonomous care and lubrication programs.
•Order necessary parts and upgrade the machines, when necessary, to ensure optimum performance and product quality.
•Ensure machines are always operated in accordance with the SOPs and Centre-lining requirements.
•Keeps records of machine performance, delays, quality issues and use the data to lead formal and informal RCAs.
•Drive continuous improvement and strive to meet and exceed the target availability, quality and speed.
•Ensure Job Cards are correctly completed.
Effective troubleshooting of problems with OperatorsMinimum requirements
•Minimum Matric/Grade 12.
•Qualified artisan- Fitter / Millwright / Mechatronics / Mechanic.
•Good Computer skills (MS Office) and ERP (JDE) systems knowledge advantageous.
•Minimum 3 years trade experience in a Paper Manufacturing environment.
•Trade certificate in Corrugated Board Making/Printing advantageous.
•Hand-eye coordination and practical skills.
•Excellent communication skills and active listening skills.
